Alongside the launch of iTunes Store music and movie content in twelve new Asian countries yesterday, Apple has also begun selling the Apple TV in several of these markets. A review of Apple’s online stores for the region reveals that the Apple TV is now available in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
Apple operates online stores for three other countries that received the new iTunes Store content (Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand), but the Apple TV is not yet being offered in those stores. The other five countries that received new iTunes Store content (Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, and Sri Lanka) do not have dedicated Apple online stores, and it is unclear whether the Apple TV is being made available through resellers in any of those markets.
